This is a Pancam mosaic of the Columbia Memorial Station acquired on Sol 16 at approximately 13:00 Local Solar Time. It is a 4 wide by 3 high mosaic of Pancam images obtained using the camera's L2 (750 nm near-infrared), L5 (530 nm green), and L6 (480 nm blue) filters. The color balance has been set to portray approximate true color as would be seen by a human viewing this spectacular scene on Mars. The view is to the East-Northeast towards the hills that are approximately 3 km away on the horizon. Spectacular! Mapping and geometric rectification by the JPL/MIPL tema; pointing, sequencing, and color balance by Cornell/Pancam team. -Jim Bell Pancam PEL
