This false-color Microscopic Imager image was acquired of the RAT-brushed surface of Mazatzal (New York target) on Sol 79 by the Spirit rover. MI images of the surface were acquired with colored MI dust cover closed and open. These images were to colorize the MI image by the USGS, Flagstaff Astrogeology Team. The reddish material on the right side of the image is the original dusty coating. The darker, grayer surface exposed by the RAT brushing is present on the left side of the image.
