This is a 360 degree Pancam mosaic of "Endurance" crater and the surrounding plains of Meridiani. This is the second large Pancam mosaic of this crater and was obtained from a high point near the crater's south rim. It took seven sols to complete this panorama (sols 117-123B), which consisted of 81 separate camera pointings with 6 filters acquired per pointing. The composite shown here is an approximate true color rendering generated from Pancam's 750 nm, 530 nm, and 480 nm filters. The mosaic is shown at full resolution and is 22780 x 2723 pixels in size. Geometric mapping and image registration performed by JPL/MIPL. Sequencing, image calibration and color balancing performed by the Cornell Pancam team. -Jim Bell Pancam PEL
